A call for artists!

Transitions - An experimental music, sound and art event in Silo 6, Wynyard Qtr     31st Oct – 2nd Nov 2014

Lower Bar Collective are organising a experimental music and art event within the Wynyard Quarter 6 Pack Silos.

We have secured the weekend of the 31st October – 2nd November with Waterfront Auckland and are now looking for experimental music and sound artists who would like to join us to perform over the weekend.

We are envisaging the following performance times over the 3 days (approx):

·         31st Oct - Friday night – 6.30pm till 10pm

·         1st Nov – Saturday Day – From 11am, 1 hour slots on the hour every hour – Gig format (approx. half hour slots) from 7.00pm till 10pm

·         2nd Nov – Sunday – slots from 10.30 am till 2pm

Further details include:

·         Multiple time slots are available subject to the numbers wishing to be involved – the exact run sheet will be organised  as best suits.

·         Due to the terms of use with Waterfront Auckland no money can be charged for entry to the silos and therefore it will be an entirely free event.

·         Projection facilities and gear will be available. Of the 6 Silos, one will be a performance space, one a gear room and 4 populated by local visual artists.

·         Pictures of a similar event in Silo 6 from the Fringe Festival in 2012 are shown below.

If you would like to talk through being involved – awesome – please reply via email below or give one of us a call with some details on what your propose so we can pick up on your details.

Late last year, LBC visuals guy Andrew Killick went to Aoraki Mount Cook National Park and biffed his camera into alpine streams and tarns … the footage will most likely appear at some future LBC performance.
